The problem with renting every tool
A small business typically pays for a till system, an office suite, a form service and an automation service, often per user and often monthly. Each depends on its provider staying online, and each holds part of the business's records. When one raises its price or changes its plans, the business has little choice but to follow.
Aevornix takes a different approach: software installed on the business's own machines, holding its records locally, bought once. That does not suit every business; companies that need real-time collaboration across many sites may prefer hosted tools. For many small shops, offices and trades, it removes a stack of recurring costs.
Aevornix business software
Aevornix POSSelling, stock, purchasing, shifts, reports and double-entry books for small shops, with several tills sharing through a hub the business controls.
Aev BookSpreadsheets and workbook analysis that open XLSX and CSV.
Aev BIData models and dashboards from CSV, XLSX and databases, kept on your computer.
Aevornix FormsForms and surveys with 29 field types, collected with no network and exported to CSV, Excel, JSON or PDF.
Aevornix AutomateWorkflows that move files, call web services, run scripts and operate Windows applications.
Aevornix WorkspaceA local workspace for records, tasks and dashboards, opening Forms, Automate and the Suite.
How it fits together
The applications work on their own, and several work together. A range copied from Aev Book pastes into Aev Word as a linked table that refreshes when the workbook changes. In Aevornix Workspace, a response stored by Aevornix Forms can start an Aevornix Automate workflow, and a workflow step can create tasks, records and pages. Aevornix POS exports management reports to PDF, CSV and Excel for your accountant or for Aev Book.

Licensing for businesses
Commercial use needs a Professional licence (one named user, up to 3 devices) or a Business licence (5 named users on up to 5 business PCs, extendable in packs of 5). Each is a one-time purchase, permanent for the major version bought, with maintenance updates for that version. Invoices are available on request for Business licences. See how licences work.
What to compare
Compare the total cost over the years you expect to use the software, what happens during an internet outage, where records are stored, and how you would move your data out. For point of sale specifically, check how card payments are taken and charged. Our Aevornix POS and Square comparison sets these out side by side.
Frequently asked questions
Which licence does a small business need?
A sole trader doing paid work needs a Professional licence. A team needs a Business licence, which covers 5 named users on up to 5 business PCs, with extra users in packs of 5.
Can several staff share Aevornix POS?
Yes. Several tills and branches share one business through a Local Hub on the shop network or a Sync Bridge on your own server, and each till keeps selling if the hub cannot be reached.
Does Aevornix offer accounting software?
Aevornix POS includes double-entry books for the shop: chart of accounts, journals, trial balance, profit and loss and balance sheet. There is no separate general accounting product today.
Where are business records stored?
On your own computers. The applications need no Aevornix server, and backups go wherever you choose.
