Aevornix

Security and privacy by design

Aevornix applications keep your data on your own computer and need no Aevornix account, so there is no Aevornix server holding your documents, mail or business records. Where an application stores secrets, it encrypts them on the device.

Your data stays on your computer

Local-first software removes a whole category of risk: files that are never uploaded cannot leak from a cloud account. It also moves responsibility to you, because backups and device security are in your hands. Local-first versus cloud software sets out the trade-offs.

Security inside the applications

Examples from current releases:

  • Aevornix Authenticate: a vault encrypted with AES-256-GCM under a key protected by your Windows account, Windows Hello unlock, and no network connection at all.
  • Aevornix Mail: account credentials encrypted on your device, remote images blocked until you allow them, and DKIM, SPF and DMARC results shown for each sender.
  • Aevornix Browser: no account, no telemetry, no analytics and no crash reporting, with tracker blocking on your computer.
  • Aevornix POS: encrypted backups with verification, secrets protected by Windows data protection, and posted records that cannot be edited, only reversed.
  • Aevornix Guard: scanning and protection on your PC with no telemetry, and an explanation for every decision.
  • Aevornix Forms: form signing and response encryption readable only with your private key.

Security in this store

Payments are taken by Stripe on its own checkout page; card details are never sent to Aevornix. Each licence is a file signed with an Ed25519 key, so an application can verify it offline and a changed licence fails verification. Order pages are reached through a private link. The privacy notice explains what personal data the store keeps.

Reporting a security issue

If you believe you have found a vulnerability in an Aevornix application or this store, email legal@oxfordprivatestudios.com with the product, version and steps to reproduce. Please do not publish details until the issue has been addressed.

Are my card details stored by Aevornix?

No. Payments are handled by Stripe, and card details never reach Aevornix.
