A practical way to cut subscriptions
- 1List every chargeGo through bank and card statements for twelve months and list each software charge, the plan and the number of users.
- 2Work out the long-term costUse the software subscription cost calculator to see each charge over three, five and ten years, including price rises you expect.
- 3Separate services from softwareSome subscriptions pay for a running service, such as hosting, cloud storage or real-time collaboration. Others pay for software that could run on your own computer. The second group is where one-time purchases save most.
- 4Check what you actually useMany plans bundle features nobody uses. Note the features each person needs every week.
- 5Replace and exportChoose a one-time replacement, export your data from the old service, and cancel only after checking everything opens.

What a one-time licence does and does not include
An Aevornix licence is permanent for the major version you buy and includes maintenance updates for that version. Future major versions are separate upgrades. Aevornix Guard includes 3 years of definition updates, then an optional yearly renewal. Read subscription versus perpetual licensing for the full trade-off.
When to keep a subscription
Keep subscriptions whose value is an ongoing service you cannot run yourself, or where features you depend on have no local equivalent. The Aevornix Suite, for example, does not offer real-time co-editing today. Replacing a tool is only a saving if the work still gets done.
Keeping the change manageable
Replacing several tools at once is disruptive. Start with the subscription that costs most for the least use, move one team or one task, and run the old and new tools side by side for a short period before cancelling. Keep the export from the old service somewhere safe, because some services remove data after an account closes.

Frequently asked questions
How much can I save?
It depends entirely on your plans, users and years of use. The calculator uses your own figures and shows the calculation, rather than an estimate from us.
Will I lose my files when I cancel a subscription?
Export them first. Many services keep data only while you pay. Aevornix applications store files on your computer, so there is nothing to lose on that side.
Are Aevornix updates free?
Maintenance updates for the major version you buy are included. Future major versions are separate upgrades.
