Is a one-time video editor right for you
Subscription video editors are feature rich and updated constantly, and a subscription can make sense for full-time editors who use everything. Many creators need a solid timeline, colour, keying, titles and good export presets, and would rather not pay every month for them. That is the need Aevornix Studio is built for today.

What the licence covers
One payment gives a licence that is permanent for the major version you buy, with maintenance updates for that version. There is no account, no telemetry and no analytics. Hobby projects fit a Home licence; client and monetised work needs Professional or Business. See how licences work.
Current limits
Studio is version 0.1.0 in early access. Captions and transcription, scopes, node based grading, tracking, compositing, audio EQ and compression, compound clips and time remapping are not built yet. It needs FFmpeg for import and export, with an optional LGPL build offered in the application. If you rely on those features now, a mature subscription editor will serve you better until they arrive.
Who it suits today
Studio suits creators and small teams whose projects are cut, coloured with Quick Colour, keyed, titled and delivered to web, vertical or square formats, and who want to own their editor rather than rent it. The mixer, per-clip effect stacks and masks cover a great deal of everyday editing.
It does not yet suit editors who depend on captions, scopes, node grading, audio processing, compound clips or plugins. Those features are named as not built, and the product page keeps that list current.
What you need to run it
Studio runs on Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit) and is installed from the Microsoft Store. Its interface needs the Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime, which Windows 11 includes. Import and export need FFmpeg: the application offers an optional download of an LGPL build of about 80 MB, checked against its published checksum, or uses one already on your PATH.
