Pricing model
Notion has Free, Plus, Business and Enterprise plans, with paid plans billed monthly or yearly. Aevornix Workspace is a one-time licence under the Aevornix licence tiers.
Offline access and where data lives
Notion's own guide says pages can be viewed, edited and created offline in its desktop and mobile apps once marked available offline, with recent and favourite pages downloaded automatically on Business and Enterprise plans. Embeds, forms and buttons are unavailable offline, and changes sync when the device reconnects.
Aevornix Workspace has no cloud copy: the workspace is a folder on your computer, so everything in it is available offline all the time. Backups, one-file packages and restore are built in. This is the local-first approach.
Capabilities
Workspace covers pages, collections with custom properties, filters, grouping and computed columns, tasks with dependencies and repeats, and dashboards. A response in Aevornix Forms or a change in the workspace can start an Aevornix Automate workflow.
Notion offers more for teams: shared teamspaces, permissions, publishing and AI features on paid plans. Workspace is at version 1.3.0 and does not offer live co-editing.
Where each fits
- Notion fits teams that collaborate live across devices and are comfortable with a cloud service holding their workspace.
- Aevornix Workspace fits individuals and small teams on Windows who want their notes, records and tasks in a folder they control, available offline without planning ahead.
