An Email Client That Still Works When the Connection Drops

Webmail stops when the connection does. A desktop client keeps what it has already downloaded, so you can read, search and draft while travelling, and it sends when you are back online. It also brings several mailboxes into one window without a web account tying them together.

Search answers from the messages already on the computer, and says how much it looked at and that it holds no message bodies, rather than reporting nothing found. Notes, tasks, contacts and calendar entries are stored on your device and kept across restarts. Drafts save as you type. A message scheduled with send later waits for its time; if the application is closed when that time passes, it waits and says so rather than sending late.

A few of the verified features in version 1.13.2.

• Several accounts signed in at once, with a unified inbox.
• A trusted-sender panel with DKIM, SPF and DMARC results.
• Remote images blocked until you choose to load them.
• Undo send, templates, signatures per account and read receipts on your terms.
• Import from Thunderbird mailbox files, .eml, Apple Mail .emlx and maildir.

Outlook PST files cannot be read; export messages from Outlook first. One-click Gmail sign-in is not yet available, though an app password works. Calendar, contacts and notes do not yet sync with a server. The installer is not yet code signed, so Windows SmartScreen may warn on first run. Aevornix Mail is a direct download for Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit), bought once under the licence tiers.

Several of Mail's protections run entirely on your computer. Remote images are blocked so a sender cannot tell that you opened a message, and the reader says what it blocked. A message cannot draw over the application; what a sender sends stays inside the reading pane. The junk filter weighs DKIM, SPF and DMARC results, spoofed sender names and misleading links, and writes a rule only when it is confident or after you have junked the same sender a few times.
