Why people look for an Acrobat alternative
Acrobat's editing plans are subscriptions, and many people edit PDFs only occasionally. Others handle confidential documents and would rather not use online PDF tools. Both lead to searches for a desktop PDF editor bought once.
What Acrobat offers
Adobe sells Acrobat Standard, Acrobat Pro and Acrobat Studio as monthly or annual subscriptions including desktop software, online access and mobile apps with sync. Acrobat Pro adds e-signatures and Acrobat Studio adds Acrobat AI Assistant. A free online version covers viewing, annotating and signing in the browser.
