Licence terms

Aevornix software is licensed, not sold. Oxford Private Studios Ltd, trading as Aevornix (“we”, “us”) grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the software covered by your order, on the terms below and within the limits of the licence tier you bought.

The terms of sale govern the purchase itself. These licence terms govern use of the software.

A named user is the individual person to whom the licence is assigned. Each named user may use the software only on the devices the licence covers.

A Student licence is for one person enrolled as a student in education. We may ask for proof of enrolment. If you are not eligible, or do not provide proof when asked, we may end the Student licence. The Student licence may not be used for commercial work, client work or revenue-generating work.

A Business licence is granted to one organisation and covers 5 named users on up to 5 business PCs. Additional users are bought in packs of 5; each pack adds 5 named users and 5 business PCs to the licence. The organisation is responsible for ensuring that only its named users use the software and that use stays within the licensed number of users and devices.

A bundle licence, including Aevornix Suite and Aevornix Complete, is one licence of the chosen tier for each application the bundle includes. Each application is used under these terms and the limits of that tier.

• Your licence is permanent for the major version you bought, unless it ends under section 10.
• Maintenance updates for that major version are included.
• Future major versions are separate upgrades and are not included in your licence.
• Normal use of the software needs no internet connection and no Aevornix account.

An Aevornix Guard licence includes 3 years of malware-definition and threat-intelligence updates from the date of purchase. After that period the software continues to work under your licence. An optional yearly renewal continues the updates.

Software marked Preview release is an early version still in development. It may change in later versions as development continues.

You must not:

• sell, resell, rent, lend, sublicense or otherwise transfer the licence or the software;
• share the software, licence key or licence file with anyone beyond the users your tier covers, or use it on more devices than your tier allows;
• use a Home or Student licence for commercial purposes;
• alter, forge or tamper with a licence key or licence file;
• reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the software, except to the extent the law expressly permits it despite this restriction;
• remove or change any copyright or proprietary notice in the software.

The software, including all copyright and other intellectual property rights in it, remains owned by us and our licensors. You receive only the rights set out in these terms.

If you break these terms in a serious way, we may end your licence by written notice. When a licence ends, you must stop using the software it covers and delete all copies.

If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms affects your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, including your rights if the software is not of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose or as described. See refunds and cancellations.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
